The Carrigtwohill Business Association’s (CBA) Business Expo and Family Day is set to take place this coming Sunday, 8 October.
Carrigtwohill Community Centre will host the CBA’s inaugural Business Expo and Family Day from 12-6pm. The event, which is free to enter, expects to see a large attendance as it aims to combine fun community-orientated event with an opportunity for local businesses to acquaint themselves with those in the community.
The Family Day half of the event will include activities for both children and adults. Face painting, a puppet show and a magician will feature as some of the kids’ orientated entertainment, along with kids’ refreshments and a kids’ disco provided by DJ Bertie. Adults can enjoy refreshments and a pig on a spit, or browse the stalls from the local farmers market and local business exhibitors. The day will also include a giveaway draw, for which one of the prizes will be a brand new Apple iPad.
The Business Expo portion of the day is designed to allow local businesses to engage with the local community and to provide businesses an opportunity to publicise themselves.
Approximately 100 exhibitors will attend the event, which will include a large marquee placed at the community centre. Businesses can book a 10-foot-by-10-foot cubicle to exhibit themselves on the day by applying to the CBA.
A cubicle is priced at €100 for those who are currently members of the CBA and €200 for non-members, while a cubical for the day and a six-month membership to the CBA can be purchased for €175.
The CBA was established to be an inclusive business association which serves its members in Carrigtwohill and its hinterlands by fostering strong relationships between its members, the local community, its elected representatives and other bodies.
