Flag Day in Youghal for Cork ARC Cancer Support House

by Denise FitzGerald

The first Flag Day for ARC Cancer since the new Support Centre was opened in Friar Street, Youghal in May of this year, was held in Brookes SuperValu on Saturday last, with kind permission.
Speaking with The East Cork Journal volunteers Angela and Lynn said they were once more delighted with the generosity of the local people who always support the very worthy cause, which affects so many families.

The Cancer Support Service is open at 29 Friar Street in Youghal every Wednesday for counselling support, practical information, therapeutic massage and reflexology and there is no need to make an appointment - just drop in or telephone 024 91654 for support.

Funds are vital to provide these essential services which are free of charge, and to bring an awareness to cancer patients and their families of the support which is available to them.
