Following confirmation of the TY Students who will be travelling to Kolkata early in 2018 to help with the poverty stricken children in the slums, Youghal's Rosie was delighted when she heard that she is included in the programme. Helped by family and friends over the past months to help raise funds for the children, Rosie told The East Cork Journal that she couldn’t possibly have done it without all the help which she got.
Various fundraisers were organised and hosted, and the generosity of the people of Youghal was once more tremendous. A bumper Hamper Raffle was held, filled to the top with superb prizes and Rosie said "People all
over donated prizes for the Hamper and I am very grateful for their support”.
I would love to name everyone who helped me in so many ways", she said, "but they are so many, and they all know who they are, so I just want to say THANK YOU! THANK YOU! and I promise to do my very best for the little children of Kolkata who have so little".

Best of luck, Rosie, on your trip to help those less fortunate than all of us. A truly great charity.
