The 2018 edition of East Cork’s Got Talent was launched at the Midleton Park Hotel last week.
Organisers and sponsors were in attendance to unveil the details for the March highlight. Audition day is fast-approaching, with the local talent show auditions being held at the Midleton Park Hotel on Sunday 18 March between 12 noon and 4 pm. Anybody aged between 10 and 100 can enter. 12 Acts will be chosen on the day and these will go through to contest the grand final on the 31 March, again at the Midleton Park Hotel.
There’s a whopping €500 euro on offer for the winning-act. The top prize is sponsored by Billie Jean Rhythm Dance Company. The Runner-Up will receive €300, donated by Paddy Murray of Tecomet and the act who finishes in third place will be given a prize of €150, sponsored by Bernie Veala and Deborah Burke of Dakota.

Among the judges for this year’s East Cork Got Talent are Irish Olympians Rob and Marian Heffernan, fashion blogger and designer Material Boy, model Pat Vogue Walker and singer Jamie Stanton. MC on the night is Fanta, who will be joined by co-host Ethel O’Connor and photographer Erich Stack. Music will be provided by DJ Killian.
