A-Haunting We Will Go At Youghal4All Spooktacular Festival

By Denise FitzGerald

It's nearly time for the Halloween goosebumps as Youghal4lAll have once again plotted and planned to put together a scary programme of hair raising events guaranteed to frighten the wits out of all Mams and Dads, Grans and Grandads! A new Special Event for the younger kids this year is a brilliant fireworks display which will lighten the skies over Mall beach. Youghal's unique Witch, An Bhean Uisce, will again drift in from the darkness to land on the soft sands of the beach where her coven await her as she tries to take the hopes, dreams and wishes of all to her watery underworld! Adrian Hyde told The East Cork Journal that there are loads of other events taking place over the three day festival. "There will be ghost tours, a spiritual convention, haunted town centre, children's events and much more" he said, "and other secrets will be announced soon!!! Adrian went on to say "Youghal4All would be delighted if local businesses, like last year, would enter into the 'spirit' of the event by dressing their windows in traditional Halloween style, sending an atmosphere of spine chilling creeps throughout all the Town" He continued by saying that "The ambitions and hopes of Youghal4All is that this Festival would become THE HALLOWEEN FESTIVAL OF IRELAND, the MUST-SEE Festival for all, and the one for everyone to visit, admire and, they can, to emulate! Word of mouth is also hugely important to the growth of the Festival." On behalf of all the Committee he extended sincere thanks to everybody who helps them with the Festival in any way, and asked if anyone would like to get involved to please email youghalcc@gmail. So! See you in Youghal on the Bank Holiday weekend for the scare of your life. Woooooooo
