Are You Brave Enough to Visit Youghal this October Bank Holiday Weekend?

The annual Youghaloween Spooktacular will bring Samhain to the streets of Youghal from Thursday 24 to Sunday 27 October.

The huge 3 day Halloween Party promises some terrifying events which will bring plenty of spooky fun for all.

The family friendly community event is being billed as “A Festival with Soul” as the annual Halloween takeover blends the old Celtic ways of celebrating Samhain with the new.

The organisers of this unique Festival say if you’re too old for trick or treating, come to Youghal in costume where you can enjoy plenty of spooky and fun filled events.

Setting the scene this Halloween, Youghal4All member Helen Heaphy Grainge says terrifying events will unfold between 5:00pm and 9:00pm at Millennium Park during the official opening on Thursday 24 October.

On Friday 25 October An Bhean Uisce will cross the waves of the dark Blackwater, arriving at the Mall beach at 7:00pm, heralding in the period where the veil between the physical world and the afterlife is at its thinnest.

From there, she will head the Drum and Lantern Parade around the town, and back to the Mall in time for a spectacular fireworks display.
