Ita, Ethan, Mason and Damien Keohane at the Ballinrostig Vintage Club run.

The Club held their tenth annual road run on Sunday, 22 April. The tuned and highly polished vehicles were an impressive entourage as they left Aghada Community Hall. The tractors headed to Ballinrostig Village, Coolbay, Ballyshane, Guileenacross Roches Point and Whitegate. The motorcade of cars travelled further afield on to Crosshaven. Each of the routes brought them back to Aghada Community Hall, where members had prepared a fine spread of refreshments to enjoy. For their best turned out vehicles plaques were awarded to Laurence O’Connor for his 1956 David Brown 25D tractor, and to Ger Ford for his 1974 VW Beetle car.
The club would like to thank all those who joined them on the day; Mogeely, Carrigtwohill, Youghal and Fota Island Vintage Clubs for supporting us as always; the stewards and marshalswho managed the busy junctions, and John Welsh who captured all the activity with his drone. We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to those who helped with the catering, and Eileen O’ Driscoll and Sinead Wall who registered the vehicles.
We look forward to seeing everyone at our Field Day in Ballinrostig Village, on Sunday 8 July.
