On the evening of Tuesday, 7 August, Bark for ARC held the official launch of their 2018 Fundraiser for Arc Cancer Support House in Youghal. The event, which takes place on 9 September at 2pm from Green Park, is hugely popular with dogs and humans alike!

A great show of support turned out at the launch – dogs looking their best and dressed in the special commemorative bandanas made by Ita Beecher. All breeds were represented, from wolfhound to Yorkshire terrier and all sizes and shapes in between.

Some people present took advantage of early registration at the launch for the walk, which costs just €10. The special bandanas were also on sale (€10) and will be at the event itself in September. Registration will be open again on the day from 12pm. All are welcome to participate whether they have a dog or not.

Cork ARC Cancer Support House in Youghal’s Friar Street is an extremely valuable and free service for all those in East Cork and West Waterford who are suffering from cancer and also for their family members – helping them cope with a cancer diagnosis and the psychological stresses that brings. It is open every Wednesday from 10am – 4pm. Please call 024 91654 / 086 1895803 for further information.
