Carrigtwohill Vintage Club Social

By Claire O’Donoghue

Carrigtwohill Vintage Club members are swapping their boiler suits and work boots for their Sunday best, as they rev up and make final preparations for the upcoming Social Dance Night in the Midleton Park Hotel on Saturday, 26 January at 8pm. Tickets are now on sale and, at just €15, you’ll be getting plenty bang for your buck. Speaking with The East Cork Journal Club Secretary, Johnny Buckley said, “It’s one of our favourite events as we kick off a new Club year. There’s a fantastic line up for the night including music by the absolutely fantastic “Crystal Swing” – there won’t be an inch of space on the dance floor once they get going!”

The Club will be making their annual presentations to their chosen charities, after another successful year celebrating all things vintage. They have an amazing raffle lined up with fantastic prizes up for grabs, teas, coffees, food and as always when it comes to the Club – plenty craic. What a great way to start the New Year and a fun night out for all your friends to help get through the long month of January! The Club would like to offer huge thanks to all their sponsors through the past year, without whose support celebratory nights like this would not happen.

Johnny also said, “Our Chairman, Conor Mulcahy has noted that Jim Wall, Chairman of Ballinrostig Vintage Club may have beaten us in the sheave toss last year but he’d like to challenge him to a dance off on the night!” If that’s not worth €15…
