Tickets for the gig are available at Midleton CBS Secondary School and McCarthy’s Newsagents on Main Street, Midleton.
On the same Thursday night a second fundraiser will be held for Aaron McMahon’s charity group, Aaron’s Hope, in Harty’s Cloyne. The Fun Bingo fundraiser will be held from 8-11pm with a bingo book costing €10.
This Friday, 19 May Shanagarry Youth Club are holding a sponsored walk for Aaron’s Hope and will depart the local GAA club at 6pm.
Aaron, a 16-year-old student and avid sports player and fan, was diagnosed with chordoma, a rare type of cancer that is diagnosed in just one out in one million people per year. Chordoma tumours occur in the bones of the skull base and spine, critical structures which make them complicated to treat. Chordomas typically occur in adults between ages 40 and 70 and occur in children and adolescents, such as Aaron, less than 5% of the time.
