All eyes will be on the action in Thomond Park on Saturday, 27 October, as Munster take on the Glasgow Warriors in the Guinness PRO14. However, the half time entertainment is where all the real action lies as Cobh Pirates U11’s mini squad are set to face the Copsewood Gales from Limerick. Both lucky teams get to scuff up the hallowed turf that has hosted so many of the country’s great rugby stars. What a thrilling day out for the young stars of tomorrow.
Kieran McKeown, (Youth Officer, Cobh Pirates) said, “We’ll have around 18 children heading to Thomond Park Saturday. Excitement levels are at an all-time high. It’s such a wonderful occasion for them to play on such a famous pitch that has seen so many key moments played out in Irish rugby. With so many young teams, the occasion to do this doesn’t come around too often so we’re all delighted to have been chosen.”
The PRO14 match kicks off at 5.15pm and will be televised so keep an eye out during the half time analysis for the real match battle of the day and all supporters at the game be sure to give them a mighty Munster Roar and make their day a memory to last forever!
