Cobh Youth Services Afterschool Service Open Day Set For Early August

Cobh Youth Services will hold an Open Day on Wednesday, 2 August for parents to learn about its afterschool service.
The staff at Cobh Youth Services (CYS) will open up its premises at 18 Midleton Street, Cobh to the public from 10am-12pm in order to highlight its afterschool service, including its new Affordable Childcare Provision.
The Open Day will focus on the three rooms that CYS make available for the three different age groups it caters for. Also being showcased on the day is the performance room, art room, computer room and library, with each room well equipped with visual aids to assist all children with learning. Information will be made available on the variety of activities, such as baking, art, knitting, games, drama, jewellery making and nail art, provided by CYS.
Those attending will receive a guided tour of the premises and be able to view a guideline for both homework and afterschool activities. The CYS staff will be available for a meet-and-greet with parents and will be on hand to answer any and all questions.
The Open Day will also provide information on the new Affordable Childcare Payment scheme, designed to help families with payments for crèche and nursery fees and other types of childcare such as after school care, with registration for September also be available on the day.
