Commemorative Garden Unveiled in Youghal

On a very cold night in Youghal on Wednesday, 22 March last, an emotive and significant ceremony was held when Councillor Mary Linehan Foley unveiled the 1916 Commemorative Garden Stone, which is situated at the entrance to Brú na Sí. The short Ceremony, which was also attended by interested local supporters, acknowledged the generous assistance of Cork County Council, provided by Conor Nelligan of The Heritage Department, and Joe McCarthy, District Officer. Mary Linehan Foley expressed her thanks for the honour of unveiling the Commemorative Garden Stone and congratulated all those involved with it.
