The Cork Association for Autism’s (CAA's) biggest fundraiser of the year takes place next month and they are calling on the people of Cork for their support.
In association with the Gate Midleton the group will host a day at the movies on Sunday 19 November, when they will screen Disney Pixar’s classic Up, raising funds for essential services for adults on the autistic spectrum.
Tickets must be pre-booked and can be purchased through www.corkautism.ie at €10 per person or family of four for €35.
The CAA provides support services to approximately 200 adults with Autistic Spectrum Disorder in Cork. Services include residential, respite, day service, home support and an Asperger Syndrome Support Service. Service centres are located in Carrigtwohill, Mogeely, Raffeen and Wilton, with their Asperger Syndrome Support Service running out of Penrose Wharf.
Service users are taught daily living skills and independent living skills at the CAA and the service has changed the lives of many individuals and their families.
