The launch of Cork’s Got Talent will take place at 11am this Saturday, 9 March at the Midleton Park Hotel. Present for the event will be all the Judges from this year’s competition, Karen O’Sullivan from Down Syndrome Cork and MC Fanta (Mark O’Sullivan) with “a very special guest who must remain secret until the day”.  Open auditions will immediately follow at 12noon.

Large numbers are expected for the annual event which has a first prize of €1,000. 12 Acts will be chosen from all audition hopefuls to compete in the final on Saturday, 20 April at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Little Island. All entrants must be over 10 years of age. Talents of all descriptions are welcomed and if there’s something special you can do, the judges want to see it! There is an audition fee of €5 per act.  This, and all proceeds from ticket sales for the final show, will be going to Down Syndrome Cork.

This year’s Judges are Marion and Rob Heffernan, Pat Vogue Walker, Shin Hayes and “Mouth of the South” blogger John O’Connell. Mark O’Sullivan, aka Fanta, and Ethel O’Connor will be co-hosting the event and on hand to keep things running smoothly and contestant nerves at bay.

Tickets for the final can be purchased from Mark O’Sullivan on 086 3963263 or on EventBrite.
