There were a few ruffled feathers at the Cobh Municipality on Tuesday 9 May as rampaging Crows were being blamed for the town’s early morning litter problems.
Cllr Cathal Rasmussen told the sitting, bins throughout the seaside town are constantly under attack from hungry birds.
Crows are being blamed for dragging litter stashed in bins and scattering it far and wide in the hope of finding a tasty morsel.
He said despite the Municipality reducing the size of the aperture in the bin receptacle, crows are wreaking havoc in the town centre.
The Labour Cllr said outdoor staff were spending up to an hour in the early morning picking up after the birds.
