East Cork Municipality Launch New Logo

By Seamus Whelehan

East Cork Municipality officially launched its new identity and logo for Midleton ahead of its July monthly meeting on Monday 3 July.
The new look brand symbolises Midleton as a diverse welcoming town in the heart of East Cork.
East Cork Municipal Executive Officer Joe McCarthy said “the logo will be used across a variety of marketing platforms, creating a seamless approach to promoting Midleton.”
The logo and brand identity will also feature in a new website for Midleton currently in development.
The project is managed by Youghal Socio Economic Development Group (YSEDG) with input from Midleton and Area Chamber of Commerce.
It’s expected the site will launch later this year.
The new domain will focus on mobile accessibility and a smother flow for information making it easier to market the area.
Last year YSEDG launched www.Youghal.ie which has proven largely successful in promoting the harbour town.
Mr McCarthy said the aim is to present the Midleton and wider area in a manner that replicates what’s on offer in the Midleton and great area of today, where people would want to visit, live and ultimately invest and do business.
He said the new site and brand will integrate with the new county initiative wwww.visitcork.ie and will align itself with Cork’s tourism strategy on a county wide basis.
