The East Cork Rapid Response annual Golf Classic will be held next month during Wednesday and Thursday, 17 and 18 May.
The fourth annual Golf Classic will be held once again at the East Cork Golf Club with the proceeds going towards East Cork Rapid Response (ECRR). The event, which is organised by the ECRR and has been held since 2013.
“It is the fourth year that we have held this,” said Michael Hayes, one of the organisers of the event. “It is in aid of the East Cork Rapid Response and the entry fee is €90. That includes the meal afterwards. Our main sponsors are the Midleton Park Hotel and they have contributed a weekend for two for each member of the winning team.”
The format will be a 3 Ball Better Ball and tee times run from 1pm to approximately 5.30pm on Wednesday, 17 May. The following day will feature two shotgun starts at 10am and 2.30pm.
The idea for the first ECRR Golf Classic is attributed to the late Richard O’Riordan, a founding committee member of ECRR who passed away in January 2014, with the idea made possible through the generosity of the late Maurice Moloney, proprietor of the East Cork Golf Club, who passed away late the following year.
