On Saturday last, 20 October, Stephanie Murphy from Youghal was crowned Mrs International Curve 2018/2019 at Maidstone in Kent, where she represented Ireland in the competition. Before leaving for the event Stephanie said, “I chose to enter this Pageant because of its body positivity ethos and its chosen charity, Sane. Pageants like this are a lot more than putting on a pretty dress, and I’ve been busy making appearances at various charity fundraisers and using the title in the hopes of highlighting a few local charities that address issues close to so many people”. The main charitable focus of the Organisation this year is Sane – a UK based mental health charity, working to improve the quality of life for those affected by mental stresses and illness.
Speaking with The East Cork Journal, Stephanie said, “I am overwhelmed with the support from everyone. It’s been unbelievable! For the year ahead I plan to attend as many charity events as possible so please get in touch as I’d love to attend! I will be modelling at many of these events also. I fly back to the UK a few times over the next 12 months for photoshoots and attending Curvy Events, one of which is the Curvy Convention in Liverpool next month where I’ll be with The GC! Gemma Collins! I'm such a huge girl fan of Gemma so that's exciting!”
Congratulations Stephanie. Enjoy a great year as Mrs. International Curve 2018/2019.
