Former Cork County Board secretary Frank Murphy was feted in Pairc Uí Chaoimh last Friday night as former Officers, Cork captains and a host of invited guests paid tribute to the man who was at the helm in Cork for 46 years. Current Cork County Board Chairperson Tracey Kennedy paid a glowing tribute to Mr Murphy who gave a lifetime of service to the association as a player, noted referee but above all a brilliant administrator and orator with his knowledge of the rules second to none. He served under 16 different chairmen during his term in office and current tUachtarain John Horan was in attendance to pay tribute to te Blackrock native who is a legend in the history of Cork GAA.
