The station saw its broadcasting hours expand for the second year in succession in 2017 and now operates 18 hours a day, 7 days a week with a new range of late night programmes on offer.
Some of the year’s highlights included successful fundraisers including the stations annual Radiothon /Spinathon. The Bi Annual Golf Classic and the inaugural HomeBirds Music Festival which saw in excess of 45 Bands and musical acts perform in venues across Youghal Town over 3 Nights in May.
Motions passed on the night included a slight change in the stations Membership Structure and a call on more volunteers to help out with Fundraising events. Calls were also made for innovative ways to celebrate the stations 40th year in existence in 2019.
