The fun day was at held at Pairc Ui Chinneide from 2-4pm and saw all four GAA clubs in the area — the Adult GAA Club, Killeagh Camogie Club, Killeagh-Ita's Juvenile Club and Inch Rovers Ladies Football Club — partake in the day’s activities.
“The day includes all the different who use Pairc Ui Chinneide,” said Colman Motherway of Killeagh GAA. “I’d say we had over 200 people there. There were different activities for everyone and we held it as part of the Healthy Clubs Project.”
The Killeagh Healthy Clubs Project is run by the local GAA but aims to provide services to the community at large. The fun day organised by the group featured mini-blitzes for 6-10 year old boys and girls with skill competitions held for 11-14 year old boys and girls.
