Killeagh GAA Club to Host Talk on Social Media and Cyberbullying

Killeagh GAA club will host a guest speaker who will deliver a lecture on social media and cyberbullying next Wednesday, 26 April.
The talk entitled Healthy Social Media and Cyberbullying was organised by Killeagh Healthy Clubs Committee and will be held at Pairc Ui Chinneide next Wednesday with all welcome to attend.
The talk is split into two groups: the talk for teenagers aged 14-19 will take place from 6-7.20pm and the talk for parents and adults will commence from 8pm till 9.30pm. The teenagers’ talk is free, but adults are asked for a €5 contribution towards costs.
The guest speaker who will deliver the talk is retired Garda John O'Dwyer, who founded Let's B Safe, an organisation dedicated to dealing with problems of bullying, cyber bullying and online safety.
“The talk will be given by John O'Dwyer,” Said Liz Sinclair, member of the Healthy Clubs Committee and Welfare Officer for the Killeagh GAA Clubs. “He is a former member of the Garda Síochána and he’s in charge of Let’s B Safe. I saw him talk in St Colman’s [Community College, Midleton] and I asked him to come up and give this one.Not exclusive for members of the GAA. It is open to everybody in the community.”
