Killeagh Inch pastoral council celebrated their annual Spirit Fest family festival last weekend.
The three day event was opened last Friday 27 September by Dr Marie Keenan who teaches social Policy, Social Work and Social Justice at University College Dublin.
The UCD lecturer delivered a talk entitle ‘restorative justice- learning to move on and heal, a questions and answers session followed the talk.
For much of the weekend the faithful gathered to exchange their views on the catholic church and spirituality.
Mass took place in Killeagh on both nights with an awareness and mindfulness workshop in Killeagh Hall on Saturday followed by a workshop for children on the parables of Jesus for children.
The festival culminated with a sold out gala concert on Sunday 29 September by the Killeagh choir ‘the voices’ under the baton of Mary Pedder Daly, the proceeds of which went to the church restoration project.
