The Killeagh Point to Point takes place this Sunday, 20 January with gates opening at 11am and the first race off at 12.30pm. Admission is €10 and includes a Race Card.
Following a meeting in November, the committee released a statement detailing a change of venue for this year's event. Due to a change in farming routine and duties, after 35 years the usual venue at Hennessy's in Knockane is unavailable. The committee have expressed their thanks to the Hennessy family for their support over the past decades.
A sub-committee was set up with the task of sourcing a new permanent local venue for the Killeagh Point to Point but, due to timing constraints, they were unable to find a permanent one for this year's event.
Chairman of Killeagh Point to Point, Ed Keniry said, “We are extremely grateful to the Mulcahy family in Boulta, Ballynoe for facilitating this year's fixture (Eircode P51 TY86). We're looking forward to a great event. Killeagh Point to Point is always a fantastic family day out with all the thrill of a day at the races, while also championing local talent. We hope to see all our supporters, spectators and sponsors on Sunday”.
