Lighter Championship Program This Weekend

Saturday May 13th in Castlemartyr at 7.15pm
JAFC: Q/F Lisgoold v Fr O’Neill’s
The third of the Junior A football quarter-finals take place on Saturday evening in Castlemartyr when Lisgoold will battle it out with Fr O’Neill’s. This promises to be a good contest with the likes og John McCarthy, John Cronin, John and Kieran Cashman to the fore for Lisgoold. Still I think Fr O’Neill’s will be that bit stronger with John Barry, Daniel Harrington, Mark O’Keeffe, Kevin O’Sullivan, the Millerick brother along with Declan Dalton and Billy Dunne and Fr O’Neill’s are given the vote to advance.

Saturday May 13th in Pairc Ui Rinn at 7.30pm
PIHC: Cloyne v Tracton
Cloyne will get their 2017 Premier Intermediate hurling campaign underway against familiar foes in Tracton, at Pairc Ui Rinn on Saturday evening as well. Cloyne continue to surprise and I have no doubt that they will again make a huge effort this season. Last year they went out to Fermoy, but if Chris Smith, Ashley Walsh, Paudie O’Sullivan and Ian Cahill are on form then they can see off the challenge of a Tracton side that will make a big effort to win this one.
