Lisgoold/Leamlara Community Council will hold a fundraising coffee morning, bake sale and book sale in aid of the community defibrillator fund on Friday, 26 May.
The combined event will be run from 9.30am until 12pm and will be held at Lisgoold Hall. The proceeds will go towards the installation of a defibrillator in Ballincurrig and the maintenance of defibrillators in Lisgoold and Leamlara.
Three years ago a subcommittee of the Lisgoold/Leamlara Community Council fundraised to replace the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for Lisgoold village and to procure an AED for Leamlara Village. The East Cork Rapid Response (ECRR) aided with the instillation of the public access AEDs, which have been used on a number of occasions since.
