Man Airlifted To Hospital After Incident In Youghal

Emergency services were called to an incident in Youghal yesterday involving a man with a suspected ankle fracture.

The man a builder was air lifted to hospital after injuring himself while working on a roof.

The Waterford Coast guard rescue 117 landed at Tesco Youghal shortly after 2:00pm to assist the National Ambulance service because the injured party was in an inaccessible area.

The man had been working on the store’s roof when the incident occurred and was treated at the scene by first responders which was also attended by Gardaí and the fire service.
