Midleton & Area Chamber of Commerce continued their proactive approach to 2017 with an official launch last Tuesday Night, 28 February at The Malting’s Restaurant in Midleton Park Hotel.
This followed the AGM on Monday 13 February, the meeting of the new officers on Friday, 17 February and the invitation to the executive committees meeting which took place on 24 February.
Members and non-members were invited to the launch at the Midleton Park Hotel and the Chamber looks to grow its already strong membership base and set out its objectives for the year. Patrick Shields, newly elected President of Midleton & Area Chamber of Commerce and General Manager of Midleton Park Hotel since 2014, welcomed everybody on the night with a wine, cheese and canapé reception.
Mr Shields then thanked the outgoing committee members President Seamus Cunningham of Wallis’ Bar, Vice President Jane Leonard of Really Useful Training & Development and Secretary Clare O’Brien of O’Brien Interiors on the Main Street for all of their support. Many of the outgoing officers will remain with the Midleton & Area Chamber of Commerce on Executive Committees for Traders, Training & Development and other initiatives.
The first breakfast meeting for Midleton & Area Chamber of Commerce members will take place on Tuesday, 7 March at the Midleton Park Hotel from 8.30am.
