Midleton Creative Writing Group Seek New Members

By Seamus Whelehan

They say everyone has a story to tell, and one East Cork Writers Group is on a mission to help tell that story.  The Midleton Creative Writers Club is actively seeking new members who are looking to flex their writing muscle.

Morning meetings take place on the third Thursday of every month at Midleton Library from 11:00am to 12:30pm.  Evening writing sessions are accommodated at the Library on the first Tuesday of the month between 7:30pm and 9:00pm.

The informal gathering explores the writing process and deconstructs many written genres including fiction, non-fiction and journalism.  It’s an ideal meet up for those who want to jump start in creative writing, or need help to quieten their inner editor and get words onto the page.   The gathering encourages story tellers to get into the habit of writing regularly and sharpen their story telling ability.

So, if you fancy yourself as the next JK Rolling or just have a passion for telling a scéal, then Midleton Library is the place to be.  Enquires can be made through the Midleton Library on 021-4631929 or by dropping in.

The next morning session is on Thursday 20 June at 11:00am with the next evening event taking place at 7:30pm on Tuesday 2 July.
