Educate Together National School Midleton holds its annual Summer Fair this Saturday to fundraiser for equipping its new premises, which is still under construction.

Educate Together National School, Midleton will host its annual Summer Fair this Saturday, 17 June.
The Summer Fair will be held at Educate Together NS’ current premises in Market Green, Midleton and will run from 1.30-4.30pm. The event is organised by the Parents’ Association of Educate Together National School, Midleton and proceeds from the day will go towards equipping the new school premises currently under construction between Elsinore Heights and Tir Cluain estates in Midleton.
“The Summer Fair will run between 1.30pm and 4pm this Saturday,” said Aoife Wall of the Educate Together NS Parents’ Association. “We are hoping to have lots of outdoor activities and games, as well as bouncy castle, crafts, a games room, music, dancing, modelling, a café and a cake sale. We will also have a raffle with some nice prizes.”
All are welcome to attend on the day.
“It is open to the public of course,” said Ms Wall. “Anybody who is thinking of sending their kids to the school or have kids starting September can come along. Anyone can come on the day to have a look and see what we do.”
The proceeds raised during the Summer Fair may be designated to equip the new school with gross motor rooms, which are specialist rooms to aid fine motor skills development in children with dyspraxia and similar conditions.
The Parents’ Association are still looking for volunteers who could help with marshalling, stewarding the bouncy castle, to sell raffle tickets on the day, help with the games room and the crafts tables and/or to help set up the day before on Friday, 16 June from 7pm. The PA will also gladly accept any donations or sponsoring of spot prizes for the raffle.
