Midleton’s Books 4 U charity Shop Puts Out The Call for Volunteers

By Alan Sheehan

Midleton’s Books 4 U charity bookstore, the proceeds from which got to Midleton St Vincent de Paul, is looking for volunteers this summer.

Midleton’s Books 4 U charity bookstore is looking for people willing to volunteer their time this summer.
Books 4 U, which is run by Midleton St Vincent de Paul, is staffed by volunteers but faces a possible staff shortage as the summer months approach.
“We’re just looking for people to give a few hours a week to look after the shop,” said Mr Walsh. “It would be ideal for Transition Year students to volunteer for such a good cause and it would look good on a CV. The only thing you might need to learn is how to operate the till and you’ll learn that easily. We’ll show you what to do.”
Books 4 U is a dedicated bookstore that sells a wide range of new and donated books for prices between €1-4 with all proceeds going towards Midleton SVP.
The need for volunteers arises as some of those who gave their time throughout the year may look to take off some weeks.
