By Alan Sheehan

My Place, Midleton will host a number of young musicians for a two-hour gig this Friday, 31 March, as both a fundraiser and preparatory gig for Midleton’s Cáit Kerrigan before her performance at the Irish Youth Music Awards in April.
Young musicians from the Mallow, Fermoy and Mitchelstown branches of the Cloyne Diocesan Youth Services (CDYS) will perform from 8-10pm at My Place, Midleton with singer-songwriter Cáit Kerrigan headlining the gig.
“Admission is €3 per person and will be used to support Cáit when she sets off to perform at the Irish Youth Music Awards in the Aviva Stadium on 22 April,” said Ross Bonner of CDYS Midleton. “We will have lots of other young performers from CDYS groups from Mallow and Fermoy as well Junction 12, a young and up-and-coming Cork band.”
