Colbert and Co. Estate Agents have been named the Cork County Estate Agent of the Year at the Cork Business Awards on Saturday, 4 November.
This year’s Cork Business Awards night took place at the Clayton Hotel Silver Springs and saw the Midleton based business hailed as this year’s Cork County Estate Agents in front of over 500 guests and attendees.
The competition was close enough between Colbert and Co. Estate Agents and its competitors. which included Hegarty Properties in Midleton, Engel and Voelkers in Kinsale, Sherry Fitzgerald and Michael Pigott in Carrigaline. The Cork Estate Agent of the Year Award was spilt into Cork County and Cork City, with Colbert and Co. taking home the Cork County award and Sherry Fitzgerald winning the Cork City award.
“It is a great achievement to be awarded, such a prestigious award in such a tough category,” said James Colbert, proprietor and director at Colbert and Co. “They are all good agents in their own right. We are relatively new, so to win against such great agents is a great honour.”
The official announcement made at the Cork Business Awards regarding Colbert and Co. win read: “Our County Winner tonight in this category is a family business with over 30 years of experience in the property sector and whose drive to develop and expand the business with new and innovative strategies is recognised by the Judging panel.”
Previously Colbert and Co. made the 2014 shortlist for the excellence in corporate social responsibility by a small/medium-sized enterprise award by Chambers Ireland, and finished as finalises in the inaugural Government Opportunities (GO) Excellence in Public Procurement Awards Ireland in the Best Service in the Small Business/Third Sector category.
