More CPR/Defibrillator Training Planned Due to Demand

East Cork Rapid Response have trained 30 people in the Ballymacoda/Ladysbride community so far, this year
Following two very successful CPR courses run voluntarily by East Cork Rapid Response, another is scheduled for Saturday 24 February from 10am in Ladysbridge Community Hall.
Thirty people in the local community have already learned this life saving skill. The certified training costs €5 and those taking part are also asked to donate to East Cork Rapid Response. Those interested are asked to contact Margaret directly on 086 8844818 or email Margaret to put their names down for future training courses.
Margaret Hyde says “We’re always looking for volunteers and our aim is to train as many people as possible in the local community. No one knows when this skill could be the difference between life and death. There are five defibrillators in the local community and we want to show as many people as possible how to use them. We’re very grateful to East Cork Rapid Response who give up their time to train people with this lifesaving skill”
