Following tremendous success with the sale of their Tractor and Vintage Run Calendar, the Mount Uniacke Vintage Club were delighted to host an evening last Saturday, 30 March in Long’s Bar where they donated the proceeds from the sales to four very worthy causes. The chosen charities, each of  which received a presentation cheque of €500 from the Club were Youghal Hospital, Youghal Cancer Support House, The East Cork Rapid Response and the Rebel Wheelers, which is a voluntary group committed to the empower of children with a physical disability through participation in sport.

The Calendar features fantastic shots, including aerial photos, from last year’s highly successful Tractor and Vintage run, which was in memory of two late members, Finbarr Hurley and Larry Long. The run raised a staggering €20,000 for the Irish Heart Foundation.

Speaking with the Committee, members said they were delighted that the huge success of last year’s run, which had over 340 vehicles, was able to continue on through the sale of the calendars and the benefit of another four charities. Plans are already underway for this year’s Tractor and Vintage run, which will take place over the August weekend.
