New Deputy Principal for St. Aloysius’ College

As the new academic year begins, St. Aloysius College in Carrigtwohill is delighted to welcome Ms Sharon Holland, who has recently been appointed as Deputy Principal, following the retirement of the long-serving Ms Margo Hartnett.


Ms Holland has been Deputy Principal in Loreto College, Fermoy for the last 4 years and is looking forward to taking up her new post. "St. Al’s has a great reputation for producing students who go out and make a difference in the world, and I am looking forward to getting to know all the girls, their parents and the teachers and other staff.’


Originally from Co. Laois, Ms Holland now resides locally in East Cork with her husband Ger and three children. Principal of St. Aloysius’ College, Mr Seán Twomey welcomed the appointment. ‘Sharon Holland brings lots of experience into the role of Deputy Principal, but she also brings enthusiasm and energy which is particularly important with the many changes taking place in education nationally.’
