Park National School Fundraiser Quiz in Mount Uniacke

Park National School Parents Association are holding a Table Top Quiz on tonight, Thursday 18 October, at 8.30pm in Hickey’s Bar, Mount Uniacke. Usual entry fee of €40 for table of 4 applies and a great night of fun is assured.

Speaking with The East Cork Journal, Elaine O’Grady (Deputy Principal) said, “All proceeds raised from the quiz have been earmarked to go towards a digital piano and set of glockenspiels (similar to xylophones) for the school. We have just established a school choir so the instruments would be most welcome as we have a Christmas Concert planned for 20 December in Inch Hall. We’re very much looking forward to the quiz. It’s sure to be great evening of fun.”

Park National School, now a three teacher school as of last year, has a very busy year ahead. The main items on the agenda for this school year include aiming for various flags of excellence and achievement in some wonderful initiatives including the Green School Flag, Active School Flag, Health Promotion and Primary Science. Park National School is an advocate for mindfulness and incorporates it into daily school life.

The school is having an OPEN DAY on Tuesday, 23 October from 12.30pm – 3.30pm. All family members, friends and relatives of both current and potential students are welcome to come along and have a look. The school is very proud of their Sensory Room, with a Sensory Garden and Playing Pitch also currently being constructed.
