Garryvoe Toilets Due To Get €50,000 Facelift

The public toilets at Garryvoe beaches are to undergo a refurbishment programme in the coming weeks.
Cork County Council say the investment represents a significant facelift to the facility.
Originally earmarked for a makeover this summer, works are expected to commence this week and last up to four weeks.
Municipality officer Helen Mulcahy told the October sitting of the East Cork municipality the authority were eager to have the works carried out this year.
Resurfacing works are to be carried out in front of the lavatory with a sloped section added to accommodate wheelchair users.
There will also be a limited parking area created adjacent to the facility.
Council officials say following a €50,000 investment in the structure they say unlike the past the facility will now open and close daily.
Fine Gael Cllr Michael Hegarty who brought the motion to Council welcomed the move saying the works were “long overdue.”
