Public Toilets To Get Makeover in East Cork

Public toilets in Red Barn and Garryvoe beaches are to undergo a refurbishment programme this year.
Cork County Council say the investment will represent a significant facelift to both facilities.
Originally earmarked for a makeover in 2019 Red Barn will join Garryvoe beach when works commence in six weeks’ time.
Municipality officer Helen Mulcahy told the June sitting of the East Cork municipality the authority were eager to have the works carried out this year.
A temporary convenience will be put in place while works are carried out.
Mrs Mulcahy said a similar investment in the public toilets at Front Strand Youghal will take place over the next two years.
Fine Gael Cllr Michael Hegarty welcomed the move saying the works were “long overdue.”
