Relay For Life Midleton Survivors’ Coffee Morning Takes Place This Saturday

By Alan Sheehan

Relay For Life Midleton is holding a coffee morning especially cancer survivors who may be interested in taking part in this year’s relay event this Saturday, 10 June.
My Place, Midleton will host the coffee morning, which takes place between 11am-1pm and welcomes any and all cancer survivors interested in taking part in this year’s Relay For Life. The event provides an opportunity to talk with the Relay’s organisers and to register for this year’s event, which will once again treat survivors as VIPs.
Relay for Life is a 24 hour team-based walking relay, with the Midleton event being held at the CBS Secondary School in Midleton for the second straight year on 26 August. Each team comprises between 10-15 members with at least one member required to remain walking the course at all times. However being a part of a team is not mandatory and neither is attending the event for the full runtime; any individuals or families looking to contribute the time they can to raise money for the Irish Cancer Society will be more than welcome.
Last year’s Relay For Life in Midleton raised €20,000 for the Irish Cancer Society.
