Rushbrooke Rowing Club, Cobh will hold a Bring and Buy sale next Wednesday, 2 August.
The Bring and Buy will be hosted at the Cobh Ramblers FC clubhouse at St Colman’s Park from 8.30, with a plethora of items on offer as part of the rowing club’s fundraising drive for transportation to the All-Ireland Coastal Rowing Championship.
“It is just a bring and buy to help subsidise the costs of the trip to the All-Irelands in Donegal,” said Orla of Rushbrooke Rowing Club. “We want to keep it as cheap as possible for our members to get to Donegal for the finals, so all support is appreciated. We are accepting donations of items until the night itself. We will accept bric-a-brac, clothes, household items, gift sets, toys, DVDs, games, jewellery, everything really. They can be dropped off at training or by contacting any member of the committee, or by dropping them to the Ramblers’ clubhouse for Ger [McGrath, one of the organisers] to take them on the night.”
Rushbrooke Rowing Club train on the Strand, Cobh from 6pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The club also trains on Sundays, except for when there is a regatta on such as this coming Sunday, 30 July.
