Saleen Wastewater Treatment update
Irish Water has been granted conditional planning permission for development of an Integrated Constructed Wetland (ICW) in Saleen Wood. This ICW will treat wastewater from Saleen village and environs.

‘All in an April evening’
An evening of classical, contemporary and traditional music, song and musings for all to enjoy will be held in Saleen Church on Sunday April 8th at 7pm.

This concert will feature a wealth of local talent, including current pupils of Scartleigh, Aghada and Whitegate National schools. Former Saleen pupils Julianne Quirke, Nessa Fitzpatrick, Ciarán O’Driscoll, Luke Galligan, Belen Galligan and Aoibhín Robinson will also perform. They will be joined by Deborah Desmond and by Susan Mannion-O’Brien and family.

Saleen & District Residents’ Association will donate all proceeds from this entertaining evening to ‘An Cuan’ (Scartleigh National School, Saleen) and ‘Bláth na hÓige’ (Scoil Íosagáin, Aghada). Both ‘An Cuan’ and ‘Bláth na hÓige’ are purpose built educational units for children with autism.
