Seandun’s Young Farmer Development Group organised a talk focused on succession planning in the run-up to Christmas which took place in the Viaduct Inn. On the night Kieran Coughlan of Coughlan Accounting & Taxation Service Ltd. Belgooly spoke on the financial aspects of succession planning while Michael O' Dowd of O' Dowd Solicitors in Glanmire gave his experience from the legal perspective. The night was very well supported with over 20 in attendance on the night. Thanks to Seandun’s YFDG officers Tadhg Hurley, Donal O’ Callaghan and Robert John Barry for organising the talk. Next up on the YFDG calendar is a trip to the Jameson Distillery in Midleton for a tour of the facility which will take place on Sunday 21January. This continues from the sporting and social Seandun ski trip which took place earlier in January where 7 Macra members travelled to Mayrhofen, Austria to hit the slopes. Other events coming up in Seandun in January include the annual titles night as well as the Seandun basketball final. It is the perfect time of the year for anyone thinking of joining their local Macra na Feirme club to get involved! For further information check out any of the Seandun Macra clubs on Facebook (Glanmire, Glenville, Knockraha, Carrigaline, UCC, Kinsale, Cork City and Whitechurch) or email seandun.seandunmacra.macra@gmail.com for further guidance!
