St Aloysius’ College Carrigtwohill is holding its first fundraiser of the new school year this coming Wednesday, 20 September.
The ticket-only Fashion Show will be hosted at the Radisson Blu hotel in Little Island, Cork, with the doors opening at 7pm and the show commencing for 7.30pm. Tickets are available at St Aloysius’ College Carrigtwohill and are priced at €20, with the proceeds going towards overhauling the post-primary school’s sports facility.
The event will include a wine and cheese reception for over-18s and prizes for the best dressed on the night. The fashion show itself will include approximately 60 students modelling, with ten pupils randomly drawn from each year. A handful of teachers will also model on the evening.
Gilead Sciences is the event’s main sponsor, with the fashion show held in association with Lockdown Model Agency. The agency will also provide at least four professional models for the event and will provide a modelling crash course to the students prior to the event.
Almost 20 clothes shops will provide outfits for the fashion show, with numerous local businesses providing spot prizes for the night.
The proceeds from the fashion show will go towards installing a new surface on the school’s currently hockey pitch.
