Successful Open Day in Youghal at East Cork Further Education and Youthreach Centre

The team of Beauticians at the Open Information Day in Youghal.

The very successful Open Day at the East Cork Further Education and Youthreach Centre drew a huge crowd as Master of Ceremonies, Ronán O Caóimh, Area Manager, opened the event which was organised so that all interested persons could learn about the many and varied educational courses which are available to them in Youghal. John Dooley DSP and the Maire Keating Foundation were also present.
Workshops on the day included an Art Demonstration, Woodwork Demonstration and Beauty and Manicure, which drew a lot of interest on the day.

Cathy O'Mahony, Resource Worker, told The East Cork Journal that tutors provide professional training in a supportive environment on courses which include Healthcare Level 5; Childcare Level 5; Tourism and Business Level 5; Office Skills Level 4; Retail Skills Level 4; Gateway Level 4; Introduction to Beauty Therapy / Pharmacy Sales; Drawing, Painting & Printmaking; Family Learning; Computers; Communications; Social Media and Online Safety and Practical Maths, with a new course also starting in conjunction with Cumann na Daoine on Food Preparation & Culinary Skills.
"We were delighted with the interest shown", Cathy said, "and with the large numbers who signed up on the day for the various courses.
