Firstly, thank you Thank You Thank you!!! I could not believe the response I had to the Article published in the Infertility focus called “the M word” I received so many messages and stories from couples who have been in my shoes and have come through it, and also from couples who are currently going through the motions.
From the bottom of my heart I want to thank you, because you are the reason I chose to share a piece of myself, and I’m so happy that it helped you.
So, as promised, some Q&A on the products mentioned in the feature.
Q – What’s the benefit of using Ava when TTC (Trying to conceive)?
A – In my opinion, the beauty and benefit of Ava is that it’s a non-intrusive way of monitoring your cycle and pinpointing you fertile days, you only wear it when you sleep and it seems to be quite accurate.
Q – How many REAL RESULTS: months should I be trying before I consult my doctor?
A – Personally we waited 12 months before seeking help, however if you are worried, it always best to speak to your GP who can arrange a referral.
Q – Can being underweight affect my chances of conception?
A – In a word yes, being either overweight or underweight can hinder your chances of a healthy BEFORE AFTER conception and pregnancy. However eating a balanced nutritious diet and getting enough exercise should sort that out!
Q – What are the best ovulation tests?
A – I use a brand called Freedom that are available in a 5pk from deals, I find them to be incredibly sensitive.
Infertility is defined as not being able to get pregnant despite having frequent, unprotected sex for at least a year for most couples.. Infertility may result from an issue with either you or your partner, or a combination of factors that interfere with pregnancy, BUT remember, Infertility DOES NOT DEFINE YOU!
