The Midleton Arts Festival is an annual event aiming to be a celebration of arts and culture in the Midleton and wider communities. Most events are free to attend with the activities ranging from music, films, animation, fine and street art, book readings, art markets, sculpture, jazz, workshops, literature, poetry, drama and more.
The Arts Festival opens on Friday, 6.30pm with a fine art exhibition in the gallery above the Sage Restaurant. A bus departs from the Courthouse in Midleton at 8.45pm to bring attendees to Garryvoe Hotel for a night of Jazz until 11pm.
On Saturday, 13 May the East Cork Music Project, run by Cloyne Diocesan Youth Services, will open an ambitious work to the public titled RAW (Resilience at Work). The project will be open for just one day from 10am-4pm at Midleton Lodge grounds near the gates to the Distillery. RAW is funded by Cork County Council Creative communities Scheme and its origins can be traced back to July 2016 with multiple workshops held this year contributing to the project.
