The third St Patrick’s Day Parade in Lisgoold/Leamlara was the most successful yet as members of the community came out in droves to support and partake in its festivities.
The parade began at 1pm and left from Lisgoold GAA Grounds through the main road to Lisgoold Community Hall Car Park. Attendance for both walkers and vehicles, as well as observers, was up on the previous two years.
“It was absolutely brilliant,” said Karen O'Flynn, Public Relations Officer of the area’s St Patrick's Day Parade Committee. “Attendance was up. We definitely had more walkers and a few more vehicles this year.”
