Top Event ‘Pops Up’ in Youghal during August Bank Holiday

by Denise FitzGerald

Organised by voluntary group, Youghal4All, the August Bank Holiday will feature a spectacular Pop Up Haunted Museum on the Main Street of the seaside town. Hosted within the medieval surroundings of Tyntes Castle, the 'haunting' exhibition will include tales and items of the supernatural and spiritualism and could, just possibly, make things go bump in the night!
Running from Friday 4th to Monday 7th August, the Castle will be open each of the days from 11am until 5pm.

Adrian Hyde told The East Cork Journal that the Pop Up Haunted Museum is to help raise funds for their upcoming annual Youghaloween Spooktacular Festival which will be held over the October Bank Holiday weekend. "This will be the 7th year of the Festival", Adrian said, "and is a great opportunity to learn about vampire hunting kits, the infamous Crying Boy, view the tools used by witches and an 'awful' lot more". The Festival will also include genuine haunted items which have been collected over the years, and kindly donated for display.

A modest €4 cover charge for the Pop Up Haunted Museum Exhibition (with concessions for families) will all go to fund the Youghaloween Spooktacular Festival.

Put August 4th to August 7th in your Diary and visit Tyntes Castle in Youghal. You are guaranteed to be spooked!
